Daydreaming

What is a daydream, exactly? Some categorize it as a short-term detachment from reality into a blurred fantasy employing ambitions and experimental thought—not dissimilar from Surrealism, and the adjacent Symbolism.

This playlist features work meant to simulate the experience of slipping out of reality. Paul Klee’s paintings entrance the viewer with polychromatic colors, while Odilon Redon’s emphasize the obscure realm where we dissect the synthesis of nightmares and dreams. Also featuring work by Marc Chagall.
